Katie at DKScully@juno.com Category:msr Rated:PG Summary: Mulder gets drunk, and Scully has to deal with him :*) Disclaimer: Mulder and Scully are not mine, they belong to CC, 1013, and FOX. Even though we have not really seen Mulder drunk yet, I think this is how it would look. Please no one sue me, the X-Files are my life, and it's not like I'm keeping Mulder and Scully, just borrowing them:*) "Once Upon a Midnight Blury" She wasn't very worried, but she couldn't help thinking about him sitting at some bar getting himself bombed. This last case had been very stressful, and went absolutely no where. It was frustrating going in circles, and Mulder only said he needed time alone. She respected this, and let him go home alone. Though, she had a very good idea, home wasn't where he was headed. His head hung low, eyes clouding over. He asked the bar tender for another screw driver, but it came out, "Gimme anotherrrrrrrrrr skew diver." "Sorry pal, I think you've had enough." He shook his head no, and groaned "Look, who can I call to pick you up?" Mulder lifted his head, and blinked at the bar tender, trying to focus enough to make out a face, but all he saw was a big mound of skin and hair. He heard sounds, and made out a couple words. "Uh, Dana Scullllllly. 555-6431." He lowered his head again, because the strength to keep it up was immeasurable, and he was tired. The phone rang once, and she grabbed it. "Scully." "Miss Scully, this is Joe from the Pub. I have a Mr. Mulder here, do you know him?" She smiled. "Yes I do." "Well, he told me to call you to pick him up. He's pretty drunk." "Okay, I'll be right there." "You know," Mulder said a bit loudly, "Dana is the most beautiful woman I've ever known. I'm gonna marry her someday, you know?" This wasn't new to Joe. He'd seen guys twice as bad as this, but as horrible as it was, he enjoyed watching guys spill out their most intimate secrets in a drunken fit. He decided it wasn't his place to tell Miss Scully of Mr. Mulder's comments, but he sensed Mr. Mulder would do a good enough job of that himself. "She's the only one I've ever trusted, ever loved. She loves me too, she tells me so. Maybe not in words, but actions speak louder than words right?" He laughed, and then hung his head again. She rushed in the door, and saw Mulder about to fall face forward into his glass. Jogging to his side, she held him steady, and he smiled wildly at her. "Dana?" "I'm here, Mulder. Come on, lets go." "It's not Mulder." He said as if she should already know this. "It's Fox, honey." "Let's go, Fox." "Now I'm not leaving until I get a kiss." He said softly. She couldn't believe this. Sighing mentally, she leaned in, to kiss his cheek. Though, even when drunk, Fox Mulder was still Fox Mulder, and he quickly turned around, and caught her on the lips. "Oh!" She said barely above a whisper in surprise as their lips met. When they broke away, he smiled, and moved to his feet. This did not work, however, because his knees appeared to be sleeping. She caught him before he hit the ground, but she was too small to support his weight all the way to her car, so Joe helped her. On the way to her appartment, Mulder had permenantly attached himself to scully's arm, and was nuzzeling her neck. He purred in her ear, and she found it quite distracting. Keeping both hands on the wheel was taking every ounce of will power she had, and when he started kissing her ear, she pulled over in fear of crashing. She got out of the car, walked over to his side, and strapped him in the seat good. "This is for your own good, Mulder." Then she drove the rest of the way home, listening to the inhale and exhale of him sleeping. When they had reached her appartment, she helped him out of the car, and up to her door. Once inside, she sat him on her sofa, and went to get a blanket. He looked around the room as hard as he could for her, and almost cried out, but she returned. "Aren't we going to the bedroom?" "Not you, Mulder. You're staying right here. You'll thank me later, believe me." "Somehow I dout that." He said with a lopsided grin. She smiled, tucked him in, and kissed his forehead. He moaned, and she got up before he tried anything. She sighed, and thought to herself what eventful evening this had been. "Good night, Mulder." "Good night, Dana. I love you." "I love you too." Alright, how did you like this? Mulder drunk sounded fun to me, and this was the result. <G> Please send all comments to DKScully@juno.com Thanx for reading!
